The Spider Leg Balancer is much like a dead eye sling, yet a smaller diameter cordage. They are attached to the rigging line via a Kleimheist or 6-8 coil prussic hitch and then clove hitched to the limb being removed. The spider leg balancer allows the piece to be lowered horizontally without the brush or the butt dropping. See the video below for a visual on how these work! These Spider Leg Balancers are made of Tenex Tec rope and you have the choice between:
3/8" diameter Tenex Tec, 12 feet long: MBS of 5,500lbs
1/2" diameter Tenex Tec, 20 feet long: MBS of 11,800lbs
